Overview

The Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard is a government-approved training program that provides individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to work in early years education. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics related to child development, safeguarding, communication, play and learning, health and well-being, and professionalism and ethics.

Throughout the apprenticeship, apprentices will work alongside experienced early years practitioners and receive support from qualified trainers. They will be expected to complete a range of assessments, including observations of their practical work, written assignments, and professional discussions, to demonstrate their understanding of the topics covered on the program.

Qualfication: Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Care and Education (Early Years Educator) (RQF)

The TQUK Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Care and Education (Early Years Educator) (RQF) is a comprehensive qualification designed for individuals passionate about working with young children. This course equips learners with the essential knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to support children's development from birth to five years old, covering areas such as safeguarding, child development, and promoting health and well-being. Accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), this diploma meets the criteria set by the Department for Education, qualifying graduates to work as Early Years Educators in a variety of early years settings, including nurseries, preschools, and reception classes. With a blend of theoretical learning and practical application, this course prepares learners to create safe, engaging, and nurturing environments for young children, ensuring they receive high-quality care and education.

Functional Skills

If you don't already hold a Maths or English qualification equivalent to a GCSE pass you may undertake Functional Skills at Level 2. These are optional and as part of the enrolment process you will be given a choice to opt-in or opt-out of undertaking them.

Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English are equivalent to a GCSE pass (grade 4-9) and are essential for career progression, apprenticeships, and further education. Our individually tailored program, with dedicated functional skills tutors, supports individuals in gaining confidence and competence in these vital areas, empowering them to reach their full potential.
