Overview

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings is designed for those who wish to become qualified Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators in early years settings. This course provides the knowledge and skills required by exploring the roles and responsibilities of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator in an early years setting; understanding the strategies and techniques for supporting children and their families and increasing the knowledge of SEN codes of practice.

The qualification is accredited by NCFE Cache, a leading provider of vocational qualifications in the UK, and is recognised by Ofqual, ensuring that learners gain a qualification that is highly regarded by employers in the early years sector.

What does it cover?

This course is offered predominantly through online learning with tutor led elements. You will have access to a dedicated tutor who will provide support and guidance throughout your studies. You will also have access to a range of learning resources, including online study materials and assessment tools.

The course is designed to be flexible, allowing you to fit your studies around your work and other commitments. You will be required to complete two mandatory units. These mandatory units are:

Roles and Responsibilities of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator in the Early Years (A/617/1651)

Strategies and Techniques for Supporting Children and Families (F/617/1652)

These units are covered in depth, with a focus on developing practical skills that can be applied in the workplace.
